About Sara Sonnenschein

I've spent more than three decades in education, and I've sat in just about every seat a school has.

I taught for 19 years. Then I led elementary schools as a principal for 10 — five years at Bnos Penina, which I rebuilt from a struggling school into a thriving one, and five years at Bet Yaakov of the Jersey Shore. From there I ran a daycare, and today I'm an administrator at a high school. Somewhere in the middle of all that, I also founded Curriculum HQ and wrote a writing program now used in more than 80 schools.

That path means I've done just about everything a school runs on:

  • The money — government funding, grants, and the financials that keep a school afloat
  • The academics — curriculum mapping, scheduling, and program planning across grades
  • The people — hiring, training, and developing teachers
  • The day-to-day — student management, discipline, and building real relationships with parents

I've handled all of it, at every level from daycare through high school. What I love most is bringing order to the chaos — helping a school go from scattered and overwhelmed to clear, organized, and running smoothly. Whether you're rethinking your curriculum, untangling a schedule, or launching a new program and trying to make it actually stick, I'd love to help you build something that works and lasts.

A partner for the whole picture.

For schools that want more than a map. Drawing on 30+ years in education — as a teacher, principal, and administrator — I work alongside your leadership on whatever your school needs: curriculum, scheduling, teacher hiring and training, budgeting and government funding, student management, and the systems that keep a school running smoothly. Includes ongoing access between sessions — I'm a message away.

Custom engagements — $500/hour or a custom project rate. Let's talk.
